Royal Gear Clothing has gone through a crazy year this year. Founded in 2008 on the streets of New York, the clothing line was nearly dormant by the time 2010 arrived. However, Royal Gear has risen to become the dominant force no one saw coming.
The logo has been redesigned and the original t-shirts are no longer being distributed. Last month, the clothing line was acquired by TBT Entertainment Group and has been doing well ever since. The company brought in Rudy Mardy as the designer.
Aside from bringing in a new designer for the line, it can now be found for sale on several websites and will soon be available in retail stores in North Carolina and Virginia. Due to the multiple partnerships that come along with TBT Entertainment Group, the visibility of Royal Gear has been raised 100%. Under the terms of the new deal, Royal Gear will now begin doing commercials with TBT Productions. Also, the clothing line has become strictly hip hop, outside of the logo tees.
Royal Gear now not only offers t-shirts, but they also offer polos, hoodies, and hats. Before the end of 2011, the clothing line hopes to offer jeans. While that may be sometime in the future, what can be expected in the relatively near future from Royal Gear is all-new commercials to help redeem the image of the clothing line that has been taken as a joke for most of its existence.
