Twelve years ago, Sean "Diddy" Combs shocked the world when he decided to launch his own clothing line. For years, rappers had endorsed clothing lines, but no rapper had ever ventured as far as to create one. But, after the initial success that Sean John was, no one doubted him.
As Sean Combs' Puff Daddy persona evolved to P. Diddy, and later to Diddy, so have his business interests. Initally known as just a concert promoter, Diddy is now known as an international businessman. He runs his Bad Boy empire from either his offices in Manhattan or through his laptop in the sun of Miami.
Having already mastered the United States, Combs has his sights set on making Euros. After mastering America, the next natural step is moving over to London, Rome, and Paris. Those three cities are major cities of fashion and Diddy is ready to leave his mark on these cities. But, in order to do this, he will need to make some minor adjustments to Sean John.
The clothing line has slowly evolved over time, just as Diddy has. Initially, the clothing line was only hip hop and urban clothing, with throwback jerseys and baggy clothes. However, as Diddy switched from wearing urban clothing for the more professional look, Sean John expanded into formal wear, such as suits. Now, with Diddy's mind being international, he has decided to create some new designs for Sean John that will cater to the people of Eurpoe.
