Last season, the Charlotte Bobcats turned heads. After sweeping the season series over the Los Angeles Lakers, it appeared as if the Bobcats were headed towards their first playoff appearance. Because of the fact that they had never been to the playoffs, many sports fans and critics tuned into the Bobcat games. Many people jumped on the bandwagon, believing that the Bobcats would make the playoffs.

In the end, last season was a fluke and the early stages of this season appeared to be the same way. But, just as things were beginning to fall apart, a trade was made that brought Stephen Jackson over. Never before has he been as big of a part to a team as he is with the Bobcats. Together with Gerald Wallace, they have formed quite a duo for the young team.

Gerald Wallace has come up big throughout the history of the Bobcats and he hopes to continue that streak. Last night, he kept that history alive when he provided the Bobcats with a big win over the Atlanta Hawks. His 28 points helped hold the Hawks off each time they tried to make a run. After trailing by as many as 20 points, the Hawks made a run and almost defeated the Bobcats. But, with the home crowd behind them and the energy provided by Wallace, the Bobcats were able to pull off a nine point win over Atlanta.
