It has been five years since the NBA forced incoming rookies to attend one year of college before entering the draft. The league was growing tired of having immature players that were taking too long to develop. In the time since implementing the rule, the league has fixed their problems, but created a major problem within college basketball. Much like the teams in the NBA, college teams would love to build around certain players. But, players that would have not gone to college in the first place are going for one year and then leaving for the NBA.

While he has not made an official statement, it appears likely that Kentucky guard, John Wall, will become the latest college player to be "one and done." Out of all of the college players in the NCAA, many consider Wall to be the best. With all of the struggling teams in the NBA, they are hoping that they can land a lottery pick. More than likely, John Wall will be drafted in the top five, if he were to enter the draft following March Madness. This is the season where college players make or break. Currently, Wall is considered the best player in college basketball, but a wrong move in the tournament could cost him a draft pick.

However, if Wall performs well, he could see his draft stock improve. This will likely determine what he chooses to do next season. But, it currently appears as if John Wall will be declaring himself eligible for the upcoming 2010 NBA Draft following the 2010 NCAA Tournament.
