Quietly, Chris Bosh has become one of the best players in the NBA, but it was not until 2007 that he began receiving any attention for his abilities. Back in 2003, the Raptors had struggled after having their franchise, Vince Carter, out for an entire season. Posting a 24-58 record landed them the fourth overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft and they used that pick on Chris Bosh.

Because of the pick and a healthy Vince Carter, Raptors fans hoped that they would come together to create a dynamic duo. Instead, Carter gave up on the team. Fans of the Raptors questioned why he did not do those amazing dunks anymore and he responded by saying that the team is not willing to help him win. Following a 7-14 start in 2006-2007, the Raptors turned things around and Chris Bosh emerged as one of the best players in the league, period. The next season, the Raptors did not win the Atlanic Division, but they earned another playoff berth. However, they would again lose in the first round of the playoffs. The following season, things did not come together for Toronto even after they created a "Twin Tower" effect with Jermaine O'Neal. He was traded before the end of the season and the Raptors missed the playoffs.

After a slow start to this season, the Raptors climbed upon the shoulders of Chris Bosh and they were chasing down the Boston Celtics for the Atlantic Division lead. But, just as they got within five games of the Celtics, Bosh went down with injury and the Raptors are now clinging on to the final playoff spot. Rookie, DeMar DeRozan is receiving a lot of attention across the league. There are some disgruntled Raptor fans that are hoping that Bosh will leave following this season so that they can build around DeRozan. Because of the constant losing, it is possible that Chris Bosh will leave the Raptors to be the missing piece to a championship puzzle, elsewhere. It is expected that many teams, including the Phoenix Suns, if Amare Stoudemire does decide to leave, will be giving their best efforts to acquire Bosh.

The money and the fame that he could receive from a new city may be enough to make Chris Bosh leave his team of seven years to win championships and make money.
