Coming into the playoffs, the Phoenix Suns landed the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round. They seemed to have earned a free trip to the second round. Brandon Roy, the standout for the Blazers, was out with injury. It was said that he may not return until the second round. With a team as dangerous as Phoenix, that is a wild risk to take.

But, the Suns were stunned in game one and found themselves in a 2-2 tie with Portland. Game four was a low-point for the Suns when Roy surprisingly returned and led Portland to a key victory. However, Steve Nash and Amare Stoudemire were able to lead the team to an impressive victory over Portland.

Last night, the Phoenix Suns dominated the Blazers back at home and took a 3-2 lead. Missing the days of 2005 and 2006, Steve Nash was eager to close this series out. He realizes that they should not take this team for granted. After underestimating them in game one, they took a 1-0 lead. He wants his team to realize how important a win in game six is.

While winning is important, with the Phoenix Suns, they feel as if it was a now-or-never approach to this upcoming game. Steve Nash feels that if the Suns do not close them out in Portland that the Blazers will make their game seven very difficult.
