Early in the season, the Knicks were viewed as playoff contenders, but their inability to defeat the Charlotte Bobcats, Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks, and Miami Heat have led to them being just a little bit better than the Washington Wizards.

As the season is coming to an end, one thing that the New York Knicks can brag about is the fact that they are much better than the New Jersey Nets. However, after last night, they cannot brag too much. Still, the Knicks have a better record than the Nets, but that is where the buck stops. In Madison Square Garden, the Nets defeated the Knicks by a score of 113 to 93. Yes, the Nets defeated their rival Knicks squad by 20 points in their home building. Still close to making history, the Nets can possibly avoid posting the 9-73 record. With just two more wins, they could tie the 76ers and their record. But, with this being just the beginning of March, they may be able to escape with 13 wins before the end of the season.
