The Lakers have been on an incredible streak, as of late, but it is nothing to brag about. For the first time in over two years, the Lakers had lost three games in a row. Most teams in the league go through these tough stretches, but for Kobe Bryant, things become extremely difficult. He is not a fan of losing, he did his fair share of it from 2004 until 2007. Now that he is contending, he has no intentions of going back.

Every player for the Los Angeles Lakers gave their opinion on the losing streak. However, when Kobe spoke, he made the most sense. He said that the losing streak was self-inflicted and they were going to do everything in their power to end it. That was easier said than done when they found themselves down by double digits in Orlando. Kobe Bryant could not come through in the clutch the way that he did throughout the season and the Lakers dropped three straight games.

After a tough road trip, the Lakers returned home to face the Toronto Raptors. In the past, Kobe Bryant has played well at home against the Raptors. In 2006, he scored a franchise-record 81 points at home against the Raptors. Their most-recent matchup was last night and it was up to Bryant to come through in the clutch, once again. However, this time, he did not put up 81 points, instead he chose to hit the game-winning jump shot with 1.9 seconds left on the clock. Most people would be happy with ending a three-game losing streak with a game-winning jump shot and in front of a sell-out crowd at home, but most people aren't Kobe Bryant.

While he is happy with the win, Kobe still does not feel like the Lakers have the sense of urgency that they should have with the Dallas Mavericks creeping up in their rearview.
